HCC Brings Maggie Moos to Area Providers
To express appreciation and lower health care worker stress levels, Health Care Connect (HCC) treated several of our partners to ice cream! In June, the Maggie Moos ice cream truck visited four area HCC partner sites.
HCC also purchased and distributed Wawa gift cards to patient care techs, nurse aides, medical assistants, and transport staff at Main Line Health, Penn Medicine, Pro-Medica, Harrison House, Kendal, LCH Health Services, ChesPenn Medicine, Simpson Meadows, Jenner’s Pond, and Uwchlan Ambulance to help with transportation costs for healthcare employees.
Finding short and long-term solutions to transportation costs and access issues is an HCC priority.
Serving up more than 600 scoops of ice cream and toppings, along with the gift cards and other giveaways, supported HCC’s goal of reaching out to healthcare systems to celebrate workers and their commitment to the community!
“It was a wonderful treat for our team. A little rain was not going to keep folks away from great ice cream!” Jim Paradis, President – Paoli Hospital/Main Line Health
“I am so excited that Harrison House of Chester County has been chosen by HCC to have Maggie Moos come have ice cream for our heroes.” Jean C. Bryan, BS, PCHA – Executive Director Harrison House
“So much fun! The staff really enjoyed it – was a great treat for everyone…Thank you so much!!!” Thao Wesler, RN, NHA – ProMedica Administrator
